MoSPRA honors Wallace

The Missouri School Public Relations Association recently handed out its yearly awards for publications and press coverage at its annual conference at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Patrick Wallace, director of school/community relations for the Mehlville School District, was presented with an Award of Merit in two separate categories.

He received an Award of Merit for the Mehlville Messenger special pull-out guides dedicated to Back-to-School, An-nual Report, Prop P and Summer School.

Wallace also received an Award of Merit for the district’s new image package, which features a new district logo as well as new logos for each individual school.

“It’s always an honor to receive recognition from your peers,” Wallace stated in a district news release. “Credit for the new image package must be shared with designer Chris Holmes. And, without my assistant Janet Winterrose, the Messenger pull-out guides wouldn’t be possible.”

Besides receiving recognition at the MoSPRA conference, Wallace also re-ceived votes. He was elected as the eastern director of MoSPRA for the 2003-2004 school year. His duties will include organizing monthly meetings of school public relations directors for the entire eastern half of Missouri.

Wallace’s term as eastern director begins July 1.
