The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor, Millstone Bangert, will close two lanes of southbound Interstate 270 this weekend, weather permitting.
Crews will have temporary lane closures on southbound I-270 between I-44 and Gravois Road this weekend for bridge rehabilitation:
One lane of southbound I-270 will close at 8 p.m. Friday, July 29
second lane of southbound I-270 will close at 9 p.m. Friday.
All lanes of southbound I-270 will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1.
Suggested weekend detour routes:
During the weekend lane closures on southbound I-270, motorists are advised to use Route 141 or Lindbergh Boulevard as alternatives.
Starting Monday, Aug. 1, all lanes will be shifted to the right. All lanes will be narrowed to 11 feet. The work zone speed limit will be 45 mph.
This work is part of the I-270 rehabilitation projects on the northbound and southbound I-270 bridges over Rott Road and the I-270 bridges over I-44.
