He was the owner of an insurance agency in south county for more than 35 years and a longtime supporter of a diabetes research center co-founded by one of his brothers.

Mr. Kilo grew up in St. Louis and be-gan working for the State Farm Insur-ance Co. after high school. He operated his own agency until his death.

Three times Mr. Kilo was in State Farm’s President’s Club, an annual na-tional listing of its top agents.

He was a regular contributor to the Kilo Diabetes and Vascular Research Foundation in Creve Coeur, co-founded by his brother, Dr. Charles Kilo.

Besides his brother Dr. Kilo, survivors include his son, Mark Kilo; daughter, Laura Kilo; brothers, Louis Kilo, Joseph Kilo and John Kilo; sisters, Mary Ojile and Georgette Kilo; and one grandchild.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at As-sumption Catholic Church. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery.
