May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery, has been elected chair of the Multi-State Lottery Association’s (MUSL) Finance and Audit Committee.
As the committee chair, Reardon also becomes a member of the MUSL Executive Committee.
Reardon, a former Democratic state representative who lives in Grantwood Village, replaces Ernie Passailaigue, director of the Arkansas Lottery, whose maximum two-year term expired.
The Finance and Audit Committee is responsible for overseeing MUSL’s $3.8 million budget. It is also responsible for approving, monitoring and auditing all accounts, financial transactions and costs; developing investment policies; selecting investment and custodial vendors and providing financial expertise to committees and product groups.
The Multi-State Lottery Association is a government-benefit association owned and operated by 33 member lotteries to administer six various multi-state “numbers” games, including Powerball.
