St. Louis Community College Trustee John S. Mikolay will seek election to another six-year term.

Mikolay first was elected in April 1998 to represent Subdistrict 4, which includes the Kirkwood, Lindbergh, Mehlville, Meramec Valley, Parkway, Rockwood and Valley Park school districts. The election will be April 6.

Mikolay stated in a news release that he favors retaining state-of-the-art equipment and continuously updating the course curriculum. He also was instrumental in helping replace the old South County Education Center on Will Avenue with the new South County Education and University Center at Lemay Ferry and Baumgartner roads.
