Midge and Norman Karl celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary March 20.
Mr. Karl and the former Mildred “Midge” Ussery were married March 20, 1955, at Marks Creek Church in Hamlet, N.C., by the Rev. Arthur Taylor.
Mr. Karl retired from EGG/Vacte, where he worked for 20 years.
Mrs. Karl is retired from the American Optometric Association, where she worked for 30 years.
The couple have two children: Eric, 58, of Columbia, and Kevin, 56, of Reno, Nev.
They have three grandchildren.
