Merger creates Keystone Bank

The recent merger of Normandy Bank and Farmers Bank, two long-standing independent community banks, has a component that most business mergers do not have. Not one employee of either bank will lose his or her job due to the merger.

“Many members of our bank staff have been with us for more than 30 years,” says Bob Kueker, executive vice president of Normandy Bank.

“Customers look forward to working with bankers they know and trust” he said. “Keeping our bank team together has always been a top priority when planning for our merger.”

Normandy Bank, which has branch locations in Northwoods and Crestwood, has been serving its customers since 1929.

Farmers Bank has branch offices in Imperial, Shady Valley and Antonia, which are located in Jefferson County. Farmers Bank has been serving its customers since 1923.
