Members are sought for new Mehlville finance panel

Mehlville School District officials are looking for community members to serve on a newly created Finance Committee.

Committee members will work with district staff to develop five-year budget projections, recommend ways to increase revenue and decrease expenditures, and develop and present annual budget proposals to the Board of Education, according to a district news release.

“The committee will consist of staff and community members with an emphasis on community patrons with knowledge and expertise in finance and accounting,” Superintendent Terry Noble stated in the release.

Application forms also can be downloaded from the school district’s Web site at on the finance page. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28.
