Melvin F. Beyes Sr., 88, died Feb. 10.

Born in Oakville, he resided in Oak-ville for 88 years. He was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 30 years before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Beyes (nee Spahn); son and daughter-in-law, Melvin F. and Jane Beyes Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Bette Jean and Don Bierman; sister, Helen Schnell; and five grandchildren. Mr. Beyes was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Beyes.

Services were at Bethesda Evangelical Church. Visitation was at Fey Funeral Home. Burial was in Mount Hope Cem-etery.
