Mehlville will offer driver’s education class

The Mehlville School District’s Community Education Department will offer a driver’s education class for students beginning Jan. 12.

Classes will meet for roughly four weeks from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and will meet the requirements set forth by the state of Missouri, including class time and behind-the-wheel time. The makeup day for Monday, Jan. 19, will be Monday, Feb. 2.

Some students may be scheduled to drive on Fridays and weekends.

Students must be 15 years of age at the time the class begins. The fee for the class is $175 for Mehlville School District residents and $200 for non-residents. The fee includes a learner’s permit, which entitles students to drive with licensed driver’s education instructors only.

Classes will be offered at Oakville Senior High School, 5557 Milburn Road, Room 237. To register, call the Community Education office at (314) 467-5255.
