The Mehlville School District will begin registering kindergarten pupils for the 2004-2005 school year during the week of Feb. 23 to Feb. 27, according to a district news release.

Children born before Aug. 1, 1999, may register at that time at the elementary school they will attend this fall.

Parents and/or legal guardians will need to provide the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, Social Security card and proof of residency. Proof of residency may be in the form of a 2003 tax receipt — personal or real estate — or a completed and signed rental/lease agreement or contract for the purchase of a house signed by all parties to the agreement/contract.

In addition, parents and/or legal guardians will be asked to provide the name, address and phone numbers of the child’s doctor, along with the phone numbers of parent and/or legal guardian’s employers, and two emergency contact names and phone numbers.

Children may be registered only by the parent or court-appointed legal guardian.

Divorced parents must provide a copy of the dissolution decree, which states custody rights, according to the release.

To better serve the families of the Mehlville School District, it is important that all parents and/or legal guardians register their child during this time period, the release stated. By doing so, the district properly can plan for class assignment and transportation needs, according to the release.

Registration will be conducted:

• Beasley Elementary, 3131 Koch Road, 467-5400 — Registration by appointment only will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 23, Feb. 24, Feb. 26 and Feb. 27. Open registration with no appointment needed will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25.

• Bierbaum Accelerated Elementary, 2050 Union Road, 467-5500 — Registration by appointment only will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Feb. 26 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 27.

• Blades Elementary, 5140 Patterson Road, 467-7300 — Registration by appointment only will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 23 through Feb. 27 and from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 24.

• Forder Elementary, 623 Ripa Ave., 467-5600 — Registration by appointment only will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 23, Feb. 24, Feb. 25 and Feb. 27. Open registration with no appointment needed will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26.

• Hagemann Elementary, 6401 Hagemann Road, 467-5700 — Registration will take place from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 23, Feb. 25 and Feb. 27, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 24 and from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 26.

• Oakville Elementary, 1050 Forder Road, 487-4432 — Registration by appointment only will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 23, Feb. 24, Feb. 25 and Feb. 27 and from 1 to 6 p.m. Feb. 26.

• Point Elementary, 6790 Telegraph Road, 467-5900 — Registration by appointment only will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 24 and Feb. 27, from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 26.

• Rogers Elementary, 7700 Fine Road, 467-6300 — Registration will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 23, Feb. 25 and Feb. 27, from noon to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 and from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 26.

• Trautwein Accelerated Elementary, 5011 Ambs Road, 467-6400 — Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 23 through Feb. 27 and from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Feb. 26.

• Wohlwend Elementary, 5966 Telegraph Road, 467-6500 — Registration will take place from 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. Feb. 23, Feb. 25 and Feb. 27, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and Feb. 28 and from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 24.
