Mehlville School District graduates total of 950 from Mehlville, Oakville high schools

A total of 950 students received high-school diplomas from the Mehlville School District at commencement programs last week.

Mehlville Senior High School graduated 459 students during its program at the Family Arena, while Oakville Senior High School awarded diplomas to 491 students at its program at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.

Mehlville High had 10 students compile a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and earn valedictorian honors: Eric Dundon, Kayla Gordon, Laura Groebl, Jennifer Kremer, Nicholas Kullman, Jessica Rapp, Jeffrey Sachs, Madelaine Schmitt, Mark Streitz and Staci Wood.

Kate Barton earned the honor of Mehlville salutatorian.

Also, 426 of the 459 Mehlville graduates have indicated they will attend college, pursue vocational training or enlist in the military, according to a news release.

Eight graduating seniors at Oakville Senior High School posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and earned valedictorian status: Daniel DeWeese, Douglas Engle, Ryan Goodlin, Sarah Harton, Angela Hoynacki, Megan Langland, Lauren Miller and Angela Tolcou.

Oakville High School had two students selected as salutatorians: Eric Hoffman and Cody Terry.

Also, 427 of the 491 Oakville graduates have indicated they will attend college, pursue vocational training or enlist in the military.

Mehlville High students Matthew Jincks, Fahreta Selimovic and Patrick Wallace Jr. and John Fleming of Oakville High were recognized for achieving perfect attendance during all four years of high school.
