A Mehlville School District bus transporting students to Bernard Middle School was involved in a minor accident this morning — Monday, Oct. 10.
The accident happened on Kinswood Lane at the intersection of Kingbolt Drive, according to district officials. The bus serving Route 70 was stopped to pick up students, with the stop arm activated, when a car rear-ended the bus.
Twenty-two students were on board, but no one was physically injured. The driver of the car who hit the bus also was not injured.
Another bus came and got the students to Bernard by 8:15 a.m. Because some of the students were emotional and a bit shaken up, a nurse will monitor them throughout the day, district officials said.
