Mehlville High School hopes to raise $6,000 Friday, Sept. 14, and they need lots of drivers to help them do it. For every person who test-drives a new Ford vehicle during the fundraising event, Ford Motor and Dave Sinclair will donate $20, and up to $6,000, to Mehlville High School.
The fundraiser benefits Mehlville High School athletics and activities, and Heroes Care, a local nonprofit committed to providing support to military families.
This year’s event is in conjunction with the Mehlville High School annual “Huddle Up 4 Heroes” football game versus Fox High School, where students from both schools honor veterans and raise money for Heroes Care.
The schools are also holding a Diaper War to see which school can collect the most diapers for Heroes Care.
The test-drive event is 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in front of Mehlville High School, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road.
Anyone 18 or older with a valid driver’s license may participate, with a limit of one test drive per household.
