The Mehlville School District’s pool on the Mehlville Senior High School campus, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road, recently reopened for student and community use.
During a routine inspection in November by a civil engineer and a structural engineer, the pool, built in 1973, was found to be in need of major repairs.
The first phase of required repairs were completed to safely open the pool and cost roughly $21,000, with insurance covering about 50 percent. A second round of re-pairs will be considered by the Board of Education to take place at a future date.
