The Mehlville High School Pantherettes recently earned two fifth-place finishes at the two-day National Dance Alliance National Championship at Orlando, Fla. The Pantherettes competed in three categories — Small-Varsity Pom, comprised of 12 members from the Pantherettes; Large-Varsity Jazz; and Large Varsity Hip-Hop. The Pantherettes qualified their first two dances the first day, solidifying spots in the finals of Small-Varsity Pom and Large-Varsity Jazz. The Hip-Hop dance missed finals by one place. The team went on to earn fifth-place finishes in Small-Varsity Pom and Large-Varsity Jazz.
