Mehlville High celebrates Homecoming Week

Mehlville Senior High School students are showing their school spirit during Home-coming Week, which concludes Saturday, Sept. 24.

Activities kicked off Monday with Pa-jama Day, followed by Tacky/Nerd Day on Tuesday and Hobo Day on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, the junior girls were scheduled to compete against the senior girls in a “powder puff” football game at 7 p.m. at Jack Jordan Stadium.

Homecoming Class T-shirt Day is scheduled today — Sept. 22 — and Friday will be Green and White Day. Other activities planned Friday include a pep assembly at 1:30 p.m. on the football field, the Home-coming Parade at 3 p.m. and the traditional bonfire at 6 p.m. The varsity boys’ football team will kick off against Parkway South at 7 p.m. at Jordan Stadium.

The student body will dance the night away beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Homecoming Dance in Jones Gymnasium. This year’s theme is “City of Angels.”

Members of the Class of 2006 have nominated their Royal Court for the dance and students at the event will vote for King and Queen.
