Mehlville forum slated March 20

Six candidates seeking two seats on the Mehlville Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Mehlville Senior High School, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road, for a forum sponsored by the Citizens’ Advisory Committee.

The forum, which will take place in the school’s Learning Resource Center, is free and open to the public.

The forum’s format will include introductory remarks by each candidate, a question-and-answer session and closing remarks by candidates. The forum will utilize League of Women Voters ground rules, which in-clude audience questions submitted for candidates on index cards and the strict adherence to time limits for responses.

The six candidates are Phil Black, Chris Brown, Mark Carter, Larry Felton, Randy Lowry and Venki Palamand,

The forum will be videotaped and replayed on Charter Cable Channel 21 at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 22, and Thursday, March 29.

The annual school-board election will take place Tuesday, April 3.
