The Mehlville School District’s bus fleet recently received the Total Fleet Excellence Award from the Missouri Highway Patrol for achieving 95.92 percent on its annual inspection.

“Our staff continually works to ensure that our students are safe,” Mehlville Director of Transportation Diane Wedel stated in a district news release. “This award again demonstrates this commitment to student safety on our buses.”

The Highway Patrol will present the transportation team with decals for each of the 98 Mehlville buses.

The Highway Patrol established the Total Fleet Excellence program to honor school districts whose fleet performs at a 90 percent or better approval rating.
