Longs K-Kids come through for charity

The K-Kids at Long Elementary School recently collected soda-tab tops for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and created gift bags with candy and goodies for the Ronald McDonald Family Room at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center. As a result of the K-Kids reaching their goal of collecting 23 gallon-size bags of the tab tops, Long Principal Brian McKenney has agreed to let students turn him in to a human-sized ice cream sundae during the last week of school. The ‘rabbit bags’ of candy were delivered to St. John’s patients over the Easter holiday weekend.
