South County Toastmasters is offering free speakers to organizations in the south county area, according to President Alan Kirby.

Toastmasters have expertise covering a wide variety of subjects, a news release stated. Membership includes lawyers, bankers, teachers and representatives of other professions, including several professional speakers. A catalog is available listing speakers and topics.

Toastmasters, a nonprofit organization with more than 12,000 chapters in 106 countries throughout the world, promotes improved communications through better listening, thinking and speaking.

South County Toastmasters meets at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the MetLife Building on Tesson Ferry Road. Those interested in obtaining speakers or learning more about Toastmasters can call Carl Hendrickson at (314) 892-6451 or Howard Brandt at (314) 894-6003.
