David Gray, a student at Oakville Senior High School, has been selected to attend the 2008 Congressional Student Leader-ship Conference on Theatre Arts, sponsored by LeadAmerica, at Fordham University in New York, N.Y.

The CSLC is a college-accredited invitational leadership program for academically talented and promising young leaders from across the United States and internationally. Exceptional high-school students with a record of academic achievement and extracurricular or community involvement are invited to participate.

The CSLC on Theatre Arts is a 10-day leadership program in which students get an inside look at this exciting field.

In a hands-on learning environment, Gray and fellow students will learn from professional set designers, producers, actors and theater administrators. They will participate in daily workshops on playwriting, improvisation, producing and designing.

While in New York, Gray will attend a Broadway show, visit studios and museums, and take in the city’s sights.
