Local graduate earns chemistry scholarship

Michael Rudoff of Concord is a recipient of the Lloyd J. Palmer/Nalco Chemical Co. Endowed Scholarship in Chemistry for the 2007-2008 academic year, according to a news release.

This award honors Lloyd J. Palmer, retired executive vice president of the Nalco Chemical Co. and former chairman of Elmhurst College’s Board of Trustees.

The scholarship, created in 1993 to assist full-time chemistry majors with financial need, also recognizes the long history of affiliation between Nalco and the college.

Rudoff, a rising senior chemistry major at Elmhurst College, is a graduate of Lindbergh High School.

He is a son of Mark Rudoff of Concord and Melissa Noonan of Liberty.
