Katie Chierek of Mehlville recently participated in Truman State University’s annual presentation of undergraduate research at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City.
Chierek’s research project is titled “Relationship of Isokinetic Leg Strength to Body Dimensions in Female College Athletes.” It was among 20 poster presentations showcased in the Capitol rotunda. Legislators, Capitol staff and the public viewed the exhibit and visited with Truman staff and students about the research and their experiences at Truman.
A senior exercise science major at Truman, Chierek is the daughter of Michael and Gail Chierek of Mehlville and a graduate of Cor Jesu Academy.
At the university, Chierek is involved with Delta Zeta and Purple Pride.
