Lindbergh’s RAD schedules community forum

Reaching Adolescent Drivers, or RAD, a student-run organization at Lindbergh High School that advocates safe driving for teen-agers, will sponsor a community forum for middle school and high school parents and students at 7 p.m. Monday, March 21, in the district auditorium, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

The RAD forum will focus on parental involvement in driving safety, according to a district news release. The keynote speaker is Gail Taylor, Lindbergh parent and former police officer. Other presenters in-clude Matthew Brimer, Megan Cook and the RAD Executive Board. Students and parents are encouraged to become part of the community forum discussion, according to the release.

RAD is a Lindbergh student-run organization that advocates safe driving awareness and responsibility for teens. The group works to promote a future of fewer injuries/fatalities on the road, to provide a variety of driving-related programs, and to encourage parental involvement in the commitment to safe driving. RAD also promotes positive state legislation to keep drivers safe and increased seat-belt use.
