Lindbergh Student Council receives top honor

The Lindbergh High School Student Council has received the Gold Honor Council Award for 2006.

This award is the highest honor the Missouri Association of Student Councils presents to members, according to a district news release. More than 40 Lindbergh High students are members of the Student Council. Teachers Lisa Manson and Brian Tobias are Student Council sponsors.

The Gold Honor Council Award was presented to the Lindbergh Student Council at the 59th annual MASC Convention.

A letter from Honor Council Chairman Karen Haak stated, “Your student government not only met, but exceeded the criteria for winning the award.”

The criteria requires councils to be members, attend the state convention, have a constitution and formal election procedures. The criteria were established to honor those councils that have a comprehensive program in promoting student activities and student leadership.
