Campbell is a leukemia survivor and a patient at the David C. Pratt Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital. She was one of nine children chosen by their clinics to participate in the Major League Baseball Kids Starting Lineup program, a leaguewide effort to raise awareness of pediatric cancer.
