Lindbergh Schools announces new Director of Assessment, Student Services

Jill Lawson will serve as the new director of assessment and student services in curriculum and instruction for Lindbergh Schools.

The Board of Education voted last week to employ Lawson. She replaces Tara Sparks, who recently was named principal of Truman Middle School.

Lawson will coordinate all state and federal assessments for the district, oversee the Health Services and Guidance departments, and serve as Lindbergh’s liaison with Special School District, among various additional responsibilities.

Most recently, Lawson served as director of curriculum and federal programs for the Warren County R-3 School District, where her central office responsibilities were similar to those of her new position at Lindbergh. Before working at Warren County, Lawson was an assistant principal at Warren County High School and an English teacher in the Fort Zumwalt School District.

She earned her specialist in administration degree from Missouri Baptist University, her master’s degree in educational administration from Southwest Baptist University and her bachelor of science from Southeast Missouri State University.
