Lindbergh Schools announces board vacancy

Lindbergh Schools announced this week a position is available on the district’s Board of Education, following Gov. Jay Nixon’s appointment of former board President Vic Lenz to the Missouri State Board of Education.

Missouri State Board of Education members are not permitted to serve a local school district board term concurrently.

Residents who are interested in applying for the Board of Education may pick up an application packet at the Superintendent’s Office, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd., or request one electronically by sending an email to lhecht@lindberghschools.ws.

To be eligible for the school board, a candidate must be a U.S. citizen, at least 24 years of age, a resident taxpayer in Lindbergh Schools and a Missouri resident for at least one year preceding election or appointment.

Candidates must complete and return an application by 5 p.m. July 9. The Board of Education will interview candidates for the vacancy at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12.
