The 2013 recipients of the Lindbergh Leaders Award will be honored Feb. 22 during a recognition dinner banquet at Royale Orleans.

This year’s winners were chosen from a pool of 27 outstanding nominees, according to Lindbergh Schools news release. Lindbergh Leaders are nominated by their fellow community members for their service to Lindbergh Schools and leadership in the community.

The recognition dinner banquet is open to the public, and tickets are available by filling out a reservation form, which is available at all Lindbergh school buildings. This year’s honorees, along with comments from their nominators, include:

Sharon Dobbs, Concord reading specialist — “A Lindbergh teacher for 25 years, Sharon constantly challenges herself to ‘think outside the box’ to help every student reach success.”

Kim Jacobs, parent volunteer — “Kim puts students and staff first, and is always ready and willing to take on a challenge to benefit Lindbergh.”

Amy Kaiser, Lindbergh High School Math Department chair — “A former Lindbergh Teacher of the Year, a finalist for Missouri Teacher of the Year, and a recipient of the Emerson Excellence in Education Award, Amy is Lindbergh to her core.”

Mariano Marin-Gomez, district technology director — “Lindbergh is recognized as a Missouri leader in cutting-edge instructional technology thanks to Mariano’s focus, dedication and vision.”

Pat Robb, Junior Flyers football coach — “Coach Robb has been a powerful influence on the Junior Flyers by instilling in them not just athletic skills, but good values, a positive work ethic, teamwork and individual responsibility.”

Megan Stryjewski, Concord Elementary School principal — “Always putting the students’ success first, Dr. Stryjewski continually looks for ways to make their learning environment dynamic, fun and exciting.”

Scott Taylor, Crestwood Elementary principal — “He loves what he does; he does it better than anyone around; he gets results; his students, staff and parents love and respect him.”

Mike Tyler, middle schools drama teacher — “Mike’s dedication to students is evident in the number of activities he sponsors, and the inclusion of all students into those clubs and activities.”
