Lindbergh hits grand slam: fourth straight Distinction in Performance recognition

For the fourth consecutive year, the Lind-bergh School District has been recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for outstanding performance.

Lindbergh received the Distinction in Per-formance Award based on tests administered last spring.

“We are proud of our staff and students, and we are thrilled to see the good work that is going on in our classrooms each and every day affirmed by DESE,” Superinten-dent Jim Sandfort stated in a district news release.

“Because this is our fourth consecutive year, we consider this a ‘grand slam,”’ Sand-fort added.

To qualify for the Distinction in Perfor-mance recognition, districts must meet 11 of 12 performance standards through the Missouri School Improvement Program.

The standards include Missouri Assess-ment Program test scores, ACT test scores, advanced course offerings, college placement, vocational placement, dropout rate and attendance rate.

The Lindbergh School District met all 12 performance standards, earning a perfect score of 100 points.

“Everyone associated with Lindbergh School District has put a lot of time and effort into this,” Sandfort stated. “We appreciate the support the community has provided us throughout the years, and the hard work and dedication of our staff and students.”
