A Lindbergh High student responds to presence of guns in schools
May 10, 2018
To the editor:
In response to the April 19 letters of both Jim Stinebaker and Jim Kohnen, I invite them to consider attending a school where it is proudly displayed that a teacher carries a firearm.
As a student of Lindbergh High School, I would be immensely worried, as that person — with or without an outside threat — has just become dangerous, and in most cases, lethal.
To protect students, we need to establish a way to keep guns out of school, period.
A device created for the sole purpose of killing someone has no place in a learning enviroment filled with the future generation.
