The band went on to impress the judges in the finals of the competition as well, placing first in music, first in general effect and first overall.

The 200-plus-member marching band is directed by David Wyss. In the spring, the band will travel to Savannah, Ga., to participate in the 191st annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which is the second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the country.

After the parade, the band will travel to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., where it will participate in an educational performing-arts program.
