Airman Ryan Woodland, center, assigned to the VAQ-133 Wizards of Electronic Attack Squadron, receives the Sailor of the Day Award from Capt. Greg Huffman, right, commanding officer of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis, and Command Master Chief Trenton Schmidt. Woodland was a three-year varsity football letterman and a two-year varsity starter at Lindbergh High School. He earned 2011 All-Conference honors as a cornerback and was an All-State Track honoree in his junior year. Woodland also was a 2010 District champion in the 200-meter dash.
