Lindbergh collects funds for tornado relief

Lindbergh Schools is conducting a fundraising drive this week to help students, staff and district residents who were affected by the Dec. 31 tornado that destroyed portions of Sunset Hills and Fenton.

The district through Friday, Jan. 7, is collecting funds for the American Red Cross using the Lindbergh School District Foundation’s online fundraising tool,

All funds donated will be directed specifically toward relief efforts in Sunset Hills and Fenton, according to a school district news release. In addition, many Lindbergh student groups have been generous with their time and service to clean up homes and yards, support relief workers and raise money, the release stated.

Service International is in need of volunteers to assist with tornado relief work from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, the release stated. Those interested in helping with cleanup and other needs can visit Watson Trails park and look for the Service International representative.
