Lindbergh Schools Board of Education President Vic Lenz recently was honored by the Missouri School Boards’ Association for his year of service as MSBA board president.

At the MSBA Leadership Summit June 15, Lenz was sworn out as president and officially became the 2012-2013 past president of MSBA. The new president is Gerry Lee of the Springfield School District.

“Serving as president of the Missouri School Boards’ Association was a tremendous honor and a rewarding experience,” Lenz stated in a news release. “During the past year, I was able to work with school board members and administrators from across Missouri to advocate for public education and oversee the publication of the Missouri Public Education Vision Project, a blueprint for future school improvement.”

As MSBA president, Lenz also chaired the statewide Education Round Table and Service Connection, served on the Futurebuilders Foundation Board, worked with 17 regional leadership committees and represented Missouri to the National School Boards’ Association.

The Missouri School Boards’ Association is a private, not-for-profit organization that exists to help school boards succeed.
