Beloved former teachers, star student athletes and distinguished alumni will be honored at Lindbergh High School’s annual Alumni Awards Banquet Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Royale Orleans Banquet Center, 2801 Telegraph Road.

This year’s honorees include:

• Distinguished retired educators: James Sandfort, former superintendent; and Ver-onica Hicks, Lindbergh High math teacher.

• Distinguished alumni: Gary Blakemore, class of 1963; Lyn (Palecek) Castellano, class of 1978; Larry “Nick” Monje, class of 1963; Dr. Susan (Nothum) Rose, class of 1964; and Sean Sullivan, class of 1990 (posthumously).

• Athletic Hall of Fame awards: Clifford Amen, football, class of 1966; John Jag, baseball, class of 1981; Corey McCarthy, wrestling, class of 1988; Matt Rocca, soccer, class of 1997; and Greg Schuster, baseball, class of 1973.

The reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 and awards at 7. Tickets cost $30 and may be purchased by visiting
