To the editor:
Do we really need all that loud thunder-screaming background as we watch the lava flow from Hawaii’s volcano? It’s scary enough. Any show on TV has the unbearable background noise so loud that the speakers cannot be heard clearly — very distracting! We do not need the screaming to dramatize the scene. Just clearly give the listeners the news and shows without thunder in the background or at least turn it down.
