Letter claiming that Trump is mentally ill was case of ‘psychobabble’

Letter to the Editor

To the editor:

This is in reply to a letter published in the Jan. 3 edition of the Call from a supposed mental-health professional questioning the president’s ability to serve and calling for his removal from office under an article of the U.S. Constitution.

This psychobabble ranks right up there with the anti-Trump radical leftist Democrats, and the never-Trump kooks who are screaming that Trump is Hitler and Trump is a Nazi — never a Mao or Stalin or a communist.

Makes ordinary Americans wonder about their sanity. I consider myself an ordinary American and no, I am not a mental-health “professional,” thank God.

The writer fails or purposely neglects to mention that according to the National Institute of Mental Health, one in every five Americans has a mental-health issue. That’s about 44 million-plus Americans.

So why single out the duly elected and very successful leader of our prospering nation for punishment and impeachment? Is that what’s expected of mental-health professionals today?

So what do these self-proclaimed professional suggest — that 44 million people be forced to seek “professional” help? Perhaps bring back the mental institutions of old, run by professional hacks, and funded by the government. So much per head like “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”?

And to those Oakville residents obsessed with Hitler — I suspect Hitler had thousands of loyalist Nazi mental health “professionals” suggesting and encouraging the “Final Solution” was necessary.

Careful folks, the Communists in Russia and China are responsible for millions more people murdered/exterminated than Germany’s Hitler could ever have dreamed. Read a little history before you fall for the socialist/communist propaganda being fed to the public by the leftist media.

May God continue to bless America and guide our elected representatives as well as our current president.
