Let’s get over feeling sorry for ourselves about outcome of World Series

To the editor:

Let’s get over feeling sorry for ourselves about the outcome of the World Series.

We sent a bunch of millionaires up there to Boston to do a job and they failed. Get over it and do what every other employer does when an employee fails to do a job — that is, cut their salaries.

In this case, it wasn’t just one player, it was the entire team, so cutting the entire team’s salary in half should not cause any hard feelings.

But wait. Even with their salaries cut in half, they will still be making more money than 99 percent of the employees who pay their salaries — we, ourselves, the fans.
