Lindbergh’s youngest students at Lindbergh Early Childhood Education, or LECE, collected 1,584 canned food items this year for the Carondelet Community Betterment Foundation. For the past 15 years, the LECE community has collected food for the foundation. Teachers find creative ways to tie the giving into their curriculum as well, using the cans to count, build and do other fun activities, according to a news release.
