All middle schools in the Mehlville School District held STEM Breakfasts last week to encourage girls to pursue careers in STEM — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — and take those classes in high school. The breakfasts have been credited with increasing Mehlville girls’ participation in science classes. Overall, 220 girls attended.
