The Kiwanis Club of South County was named a Distinguished Club in the Missouri-Arkansas District for the 2015-2016 administrative year. To be named a Distinguished Club, the club must meet five of six criteria, including such items as club membership growth, sponsoring a new Kiwanis club, supporting the MO-ARK District and Kiwanis International programs and goals. Current Kiwanis Club President Steve Dodson, left, was presented with a certificate for the club accomplishing these criteria by 2015-2016 MO-ARK District Gov. Don Leupold at the recent MO-ARK Mid-Winter Conference. Judy Burnette, the club president that year, was unable to attend the conference, so Dodson accepted the certificate on her behalf.
