Kindergarten through eighth-grade pupils can learn to cheer in Lindbergh High fund-raiser

Children interested in cheerleading soon have a chance to learn cheers from Lindbergh High School varsity cheerleaders and coaches.

Pupils from kindergarten through eighth grade will be able to participate in this year’s three-hour cheerleading clinic and then show off their cheering skills to parents and friends.

The cheerleading clinic, an annual fund-raiser for Lindbergh High School cheerleaders, will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, in the Lindbergh High School Gymnasium 2, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

Parents can watch their children perform the cheers they learned during the cheerleading clinic at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23 in Gymnasium 3.

Video cameras will be permitted.

Children must be registered by Saturday, Dec. 27. Registration is $22 with proceeds benefiting the Lindbergh High School cheerleading squad.

Checks, which should be made payable to “The Cheering Section,” can be sent to Sheila Bell, 9263 Cordoba Lane, Crestwood, Mo. 63126.

Registration includes a T-shirt available in small, medium and large youth sizes. T-shirts also are available in small and medium adult sizes.

Please attach a note giving permission for the child to participate in the cheerleading clinic.

Include the child’s name, grade in school, which school the child attends, shirt size, and a parent’s signature with contact information.
