Kennerly Elementary School students collected socks to donate to Angels’ Arms and Gateway 180 Homeless Services during their school’s recent Socktober event. The event was organized by fifth-graders in Jessica Dimitro’s class after they watched a Kid President video about Socktober. For Principal Todd Morgan’s birthday on Oct. 18, the Kennerly community went all out by bringing him the gift of socks — 1,582 pairs to be donated.
