Baby, it’s cold outside! But students at Kennerly Elementary School were dreaming of warmer weather as they headed into the holiday break. The students dressed in swimsuits, sunglasses, flip flops and Hawaiian shirts to celebrate ‘Beach Day,’ just one of seven spirit days until the last day of school on Dec. 20. Even Principal Todd Morgan, above, joined in the fun. The school’s other spirit days included a door-decorating contest, green and red day, ‘Dress Like an Elf’ day, PJ Day and a readathon, according to a district news release.
