Kennedy Complex opens camp enrollment

St. Louis County Parks and Recreation currently is accepting registrations for Camp Kenbosu at Wayne C. Kennedy Recreation Complex, 6050 Wells Road.

Camp Kenbosu is a day camp for 6- to 12-year-old children who enjoy games, crafts, nature programs, and sports.

The camp rotates locations among Bohrer, Kennedy and Suson parks. Each two-week session of camp costs $105 and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For an additional charge, children can join the Sunrise Club between 7:30 and 9 a.m., Late-Day Club from 3 to 6 p.m., or take American Red Cross swimming lessons. Camp Kenbosu is filled with fun, supervised indoor and outdoor activities all summer long, a department news release stated.

Besides the traditional day camp, the parks department is offering many other specialty camps, such as snorkel and scuba clinics, Karate, DramaRama Theatre and Mad Science Camp.
