Joseph and Peggy Cannon celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary Nov. 24 with a dinner at their south county home.
Mr. Cannon and the former Peggy Donnelly were married Nov. 24, 1945, at St. Bernard’s Church in Peoria, Ill., by the Rev. Maurice P. Salmon.
He is retired from Monsanto, where he worked 32 years as a research chemist. Mrs. Cannon is a homemaker.
They are parents of five: Cathy and Miguel Cancel of Quincy, Ill.; Patti and Terry Hanson of Charlotte, N.C.; Tim and Karen Cannon of St. Louis; Sheila and David McGinn of Springfield; and Molly and John Schwabe of St. Louis.
The couple have 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
