Sara Glover, Honored Queen of Job’s Daughters Bethel No. 19, recently made a donation to Backstoppers.
Sara has designated Backstoppers as her charity project for her term of office.
Bethel No. 19 members so far have raised funds for Backstoppers by donations, a book-wrapping day at Borders and a used formal sale. To this point they have raised $262. They plan more fund-raisers later, but felt the need to turn over these funds so far to Backstoppers in honor of Officer Nick Sloan of St. Louis Police Department, according to a news release.
Chief Neil Svetanics of the Lemay Fire Protection District, a Backstoppers board member, accepted the check on behalf of Backstoppers.
