Jim Simpson named president of Rotary Club

Lindbergh Schools Superintendent Jim Simpson has been named president of the Crestwood Sunset Hills Rotary Club for 2013-2014.

Simpson has been a Rotarian for more than 20 years, since he joined in 1992.

Around the world, Rotarians are dedicated to the ideal of “Service Above Self,” and that is certainly true in the communities of Crestwood and Sunset Hills, according to a Lindbergh Schools news release.

“The Rotary has been a great friend to Lindbergh Schools, and I am proud to lead an organization that is so committed to helping others,” Simpson stated in the news release.

Besides organizing a coat drive and donating food baskets for Lindbergh students in need, the Rotary sponsors high school and middle school Interact Clubs.

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for students ages 12 to 18.
